What are my options for setting up email and text message notifications?
How do Participants Receive Campaign Notifications?
Campaign Notifications are handled differently depending on the campaign's registration settings. Access Registration Settings via Setup > Registration
Here are four common scenarios:
1. Participants have the choice - Email or Text Message
If the registration settings on the campaign are set up to allow participants to begin registration with either phone number or email GalaBid will send notifications via email if email was entered first, or, by text if the phone number was added first.
If participants start with email they can also choose to receive messages including campaign notifications, by text message, instead of email. They will need to verify their phone number to receive text messages.
(You may need to upgrade your GalaBid account to allow your participants opt in to text message notifications.)
2. All Notifications via Text message
To force all notifications on the campaign to be sent by text message contact helpdesk@galabid.com to switch email off. No email addresses will be collected and all notifications will be sent by text. You may need to upgrade your GalaBid account to set up registration to include text messages.
3. All Notifications via Email
If the phone number field is available on your account and you wish to force all notifications on the campaign to be sent by email contact helpdesk@galabid.com to switch phone number off. No email addresses will be collected and all notifications will be sent by text.
4. Collect all phone numbers and emails and provide participants the choice of receiving notifications via text
Set phone and email to mandatory. Participants will be required to enter their phone number but they will only be required to verify their phone number if they check the box to receive notifications via text message.
