How does Gift Aid work on GalaBid? (UK)

Gift Aid is a UK Government scheme available to charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs). It means that the charity or CASC can claim an extra 25% on all donations made by UK taxpayers.

The data required to submit a Gift Aid claim can be collected when participants make a donation.

Please note: Gift Aid is only applied to donations on donation items types.

Set Up

Enable Gift Aid by checking the box at Setup > GIFT AID. Edit the fields as required. For example instead of the Address field default, consider "Enter the first line of address and post code"

The participant experience

Donors enter their donation amount, make the payment (if Pay Now is enabled in the donation item). Once the payment is processed the Gift Aid form will pop up for the participant to complete.

Downloading the Data

Go to Reports to and download the Bids and Buys Report. The Gift Aid data is available on the Donations tab.
